Technical Overview
Overview & Function
The Suburban 2605A RP-20Q furnace core replaces the heat chamber across the Suburban models that specify it. A versatile core by catalog description, it concentrates the wear items, chamber walls, burner interface, and heat-exchange passages, into one serviceable part. Installing it returns the furnace to rated heat output without a full unit replacement.
Fitment & Compatibility
This core fits models documenting 2605A / RP-20Q on the data plate or parts list. Verify both designations before ordering. It drops into the original housing on factory mounts and mates with the existing blower and gas train for those models.
Technical Construction & Specifications
The RP-20Q chamber follows Suburban heat-rated fabrication with positioned burner, ignition, and limit interfaces for its application range. Flange faces seal against fresh gaskets, and internal routing preserves the designed temperature rise. Materials suit repeated thermal cycling in RV service.
Installation & Maintenance Guidelines
Certified technician service with LP and power isolated. Open the housing on a clean bench, transfer serviceable hardware, and fit the 2605A core with a complete fresh gasket set. Reassemble to torque, reinstall, and complete leak, ignition, and heat-cycle verification.
